Embark on a family-focused journey along the Cape to Cape Track with Cape2Camp. Designed with families in mind, this easy and enjoyable hike offers shorter, kid-friendly sections and stunning landscapes. Nestled at Conto Camp for a fun and relaxing experience, enjoy the rock pools at Contos Beach in the evening. We take care of everything—meals, transport, and accommodation—so you can focus on fun. Arrival: Ocean Beach Holiday Park

Arrive at 6 pm for a welcome dinner and hiking briefing at Contos Campsite. Meet fellow adventurers and prepare for the exciting days ahead. After the briefing, relax in your comfortable tented accommodation, ready to kick off the next day.

Day 1: Boranup Forest to Conto (7 km)
Begin your adventure with a transfer to Boranup Forest, home to majestic karri trees and a wildflower hotspot from September to October. As you hike through the forest, you'll encounter a stunning array of wildflowers along the way, making it a vibrant and colorful experience. The 7 km trail offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for appreciating the beauty of nature. After your hike, arrive at Conto Campground, where your camp is already set upfor you. Spend the evening relaxing with the family around the campfire, enjoying the peaceful surroundings under the stars.

Day 2: Redgate to Conto (7 km)
Start your day with a relaxing walk from Redgate Beach, famous for its rugged beauty and crystal-clear waters. Hike past Bob's Hollow, a unique limestone cave, before reaching the breathtaking Contos Cliff, offering panoramic views of the coastline. The trail takes you along stunning beach paths and coastal terrain, ending back at Conto Campground for a peaceful evening. Settle in for the night surrounded by the tranquility of the Boranup Forest, where you may catch a glimpse of local wildlife such as kangaroos and emus.


Packing List

  • Clothing & Footwear: Dress in layers to adapt to changing weather. Trail shoes or comfortable sneakers work best for the terrain.

  • Essentials: Don’t forget sunscreen, insect repellent, blister care, and a head torch.

  • Tech & Hydration: Bring a power bank, swimwear, and water for Day 1.

  • Seasonal Item: Fly net (recommended from November to December).


Safety First

  • Navigation Apps: Download AllTrails (Pro version) or the Cape to Cape Navigation App for offline maps and easy route guidance.

  • Emergency App: Install the St John First Responder App for quick access in emergencies.

  • Track Conditions: The trail is well-marked, but navigation support offers extra peace of mind.


Food & Drinks

  • Meals: All meals are included, crafted with fresh, local ingredients by Inspired Feast.

  • Dietary Options: Vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request.

  • Beverages: Enjoy water, coconut water, juice, tea, coffee, and a selection of local wine and beer.

  • Snacks: Trail mix is provided, but feel free to bring extra snacks. We’ll transfer them with your hand luggage.


Comfortable Campsites

  • Accommodation: Sleep in cosy twin-share tents, complete with inflatable mattresses, quilts, and pillows.

  • Camp Setup: Walk-in, walk-out campsites ensure full immersion in nature—no daily transfers needed.

  • Campfire Season: Campfires are allowed from 1 May to 1 November to enhance your outdoor experience.


Trail Ready

  • Leave No Trace: Help protect nature by following Leave No Trace principles.

  • Emergency Preparation: Download your navigation and emergency apps before your hike.

  • Power Bank: Keep your devices charged with a portable power bank—especially useful on longer hikes.


Customisable Options

  • Single Occupancy: Prefer a solo tent? Single occupancy tents are available as an add-on when booking.

  • Equipment Rentals: Need hiking poles or a backpack? Rentals are available for your convenience.

  • Gourmet Add-On: A snack pack will be waiting for you at camp—your little reward after a day of hiking.


Additional Information

  • Vehicle Parking: Park your car where your hike ends; we’ll transfer you to the trailhead to get started.

  • Private Groups: For 2 or more hikers, we offer flexible itineraries. Set your dates and we’ll design an experience tailored to your needs.

  • Exclusions: Breakfast on Day 1 and accommodation before or after your Cape2Camp experience are not included.

  • Booking: A 20% deposit secures your spot. The remaining balance is due 10 days prior to your Cape2Camp adventure.
